Christ stands amidst children of various cultures and backgrounds. By facing the viewer, the figures extend an invitation of love and belonging. Lyon based the composition of this painting on Norman Rockwell’s The Golden Rule and the style after Carl Bloch.
The second image shows Howard Lyon standing in front of the framed painting upon finishing it and placing it in the Springville Religious Art Show in the spring of 2015.
