Cover has some wear and staining especially along the edges. Heavy foxing throughout the book but is very light in color. A few pages are torn, chipped or have folded corners. Some pages have evidence of repair work. A couple have pencil markings (some faint).
Following the preface, table of contents, and advertisements for Late Persecution and Voice of Warning, this book includes “The Millennium”; twenty-nine poems; “Visit to the white Mountains of New Hampshire,” a description taken from Parley’s journal; and “The Regeneration and Eternal Duration of Matter”.
The importance of this book is that it contains the essay “The Regeneration and Eternal Duration of Matter”. First printed conveyance that matter and spirit can neither be created nor annihilated; the world was not created ex nihilo but organized out of existing matter; and God is bound by certain overriding principles.
